Student Club Spotlight: Grammy University Network (Grammy U)

Welcome to the Student Club Spotlight, where we showcase Full Sail student clubs and organizations on campus.
The Grammy University Network (more commonly referred to as Grammy U) is the perfect organization for students looking to pursue a career in the music industry. A division of the National Academy of Recording Sciences (NARAS), Grammy U was created to provide students with a forum for networking outside of the classroom.
Members enjoy a variety of benefits, including access to Florida Recording Academy Chapter events, volunteer opportunities in the music industry, and the ability to network with professionals not just as a student, but as a Recording Academy member and industry professional. Students have the opportunity to meet with some of the industry’s top producers, engineers, musicians, entertainment lawyers, A&R reps, artist managers, and others who are a part of the organization.
“Full Sail’s Grammy U group just had a Grammy Camp Soundcheck event at Hard Rock Live with the band My Morning Jacket,” says Faculty Advisor Hunter Menning. “20 of our members got to attend the band’s private soundcheck and then talk with the band afterwards. The band is up for a Grammy, so the opportunity that students had to take photos with them and meet them is priceless.”
