June Game Final Project
Students, faculty, and family members once again gathered in the Entertainment Business Auditorium for this month’s Game Project Final Presentations. This month featured four projects from Short Lived Studios.
Things kicked off with Team Shenanigans’ Ginger Dead, pitting players against rogue gingerbread men and gummi bears in a deadly gingerbread house.
Next up was Four Seasons Sprint from Team Crystal Rain. The game is an aerial race that lets players choose one of the animals of the Chinese constellation in an effort to determine the order of the four seasons.
Unfocused presented their game Rocket Turtle, a game that features (you guessed it) a turtle flanked with some heavy artillery, going head-to-head with some seriously treacherous bunnies.
And finally, things wrapped up with Chimeric Creations‘ Doof n Dash, which stars a cartoon dinosaur in pursuit of some ever tasty (yet elusive) doof birds.
The Game Project Final Presentations require Game Development students to come together as a team and pitch an idea for a complete game. Once an idea gets approved, they team with Game Art and Recording Arts students to develop the project to its completion and present it before an auditorium of faculty, guests, and students.
