Full Sail Film grad Darren Lynn Bousman – known for his director creds on Saw II, Saw III, Saw IV, and Repo! The Genetic Opera – is back in Central Florida today with his latest project, The Devil’s Carnival, in tow.
The hour-long musical/horror film follows a group of sinners invited to a theme park to meet Lucifer and his band of singing carnies. While there, the sinners are forced to come face-to-face with their own past transgressions and moral failings. Darren – along with writer/actor Terrance Zdunich, actor J. LaRose, and producer (and fellow Full Sail grad) Will Clevinger – will host a private screening of the movie for 30 GPS Film students in the Dub Stage today at 5:00 p.m. After the screening, they’ll stick around for a bit to answer questions and sign autographs.
If you weren’t invited to the private screening, there’s still one another chance to see the film: The Devil’s Carnival is in the middle of a 30-city tour that features a fusion of the movie with live burlesque performances, meet and greets, costume contests, and singalongs. The tour’s Orlando stop is tonight at 9 p.m. at the Premier Cinema 14 at Fashion Square Mall. Tickets start at $20 and are available at thedevilscarnival.com.
