On October 25, Full Sail University held a career networking event on campus inside the Live Venue. Sponsored by the Career Development department, this event was open to both students and graduates, and featured several companies from the entertainment and media industry.
Full Sail students within five months of their graduation date and from all degree programs were eligible to participate. Attendees came professionally dressed, with resumes and portfolios in hand, lining up around the Live venue before the event began.
Representatives from companies such as Rebl HQ, WWE, Universal Orlando, and Club Med were on site to talk to attendees, perform interviews, and accept resumes. Each company set up an information booth with various media ready to hand out, and students lined up for a chance to speak to a potential new employer and hand over their resume.
Recording Arts graduate Alexis Roos said she drove over two hours from home to make sure she didn’t miss the event. “There are a lot of companies I have already been researching that are here today,” she said. “I think I must have printed at least 30 resumes because you can never be too prepared!”
