Back in December, we took over the Audio Temple and had 11 local bands record their interpretation of a song from Beck’s Song Reader album. Beck released the album only as sheet music, so it was interesting to see how bands from different genres put their own spin on his music. We recorded all 11 performances over the span of three packed days – each one of those is up on our YouTube channel.

This new behind-the-scenes video from the Song Reader Project includes interviews with some of the featured bands, footage from the recording sessions, and insight on the project from Advanced Session Recording Course Director Darren Schneider, who produced and engineered the songs with the help of Recording Arts students.
