Bahamian Chamber Ensemble C-Force Performs at Full Sail

Last week, Full Sail’s International Student Society hosted the Bahamian musical ensemble C-Force in an event called Art Music of the Caribbean. Musicians Christine Gangelhoff, Chris Justillien, and Christy Lee are all music professors at the College of the Bahamas and have a combined musical background in classical, world music, pop, jazz, and Caribbean music.
At the event on Friday, C-Force – joined by three students – played compositions of Caribbean classical, jazz, and Latin composers. They also performed a piece of Bahamian-inspired music that Chris Justillien composed for the upcoming 40th anniversary of the independence of the Bahamas.
“It’s important just to show the music and expose the wider world to the talent that existed and still exists in the Caribbean,” said Justillien.
