B.O.L.D. Women on Campus

The inaugural B.O.L.D. Summit – which stands for Brave Original Leadership Development – took place during this year’s Global Entrepreneurship Week. The summit, which was open to men and women, featured a day of panels and networking entirely geared toward empowering women in the workplace.

Internet Marketing master’s Course Director Diane Diaz started brainstorming for the event last year, surveying female students via Connect to develop panel topics for the summit. There were five panels hosted throughout the day, from Being the Ambassador of Your Business or Personal Brand to Techniques & Strategies for Salary and Other Workplace Negotiations.

“Events like this summit are what sets Full Sail apart from other institutions, because part of going to school is to build our professional networks and to build credibility,” said Internet Marketing bachelor’s graduate Danya Shea Glenny. Danya is the Director of UCF Blackstone Launchpad and was a panelist for Creative Job Search & Discovery and Effective Networking.

Diane hopes that the event will continue annually, and plans to highlight women students and business owners in the upcoming years. If you missed this year’s event, you can check out the full archived stream of all five panels here on YouTube.
