Each month, the Web Design & Development Final Project requires students to produce content that shows they’ve developed efficiency in the areas covered throughout the program, including designing creative visuals, developing coding, testing, and implementation of websites, and integrating flash and web standards.
This month saw two students take the podium in the Entertainment Business Auditorium. Dan “Danny Dev” Morgan presented his the redesign of his own portfolio site. As someone who identified himself as more of a designer than a developer, Dan’s website shows off his design theory background and has little details that reveal his personality. You can check out his site here.
Jim Pruetting unveiled Vivid Social, a new social network platform he developed that offers a unique twist on some of the concepts that Facebook and Twitter have introduced to the world. Providing short-term, live social networks, Vivid Social allows users to communicate with one another in a live, chat-room style during a specific event. It’s still in Beta, but you can check out the site here, as well as Jim’s portfolio site.
